I'm a PUMPKIN!!!

Olivia's first Halloween! She went as a pumpkin...courtesy of her Pops (My dad/her grandpa), he picked out her costume!!! (Thanks DAD!) The onsie was a little big but it was perfect for stuffing, making her look more like an actual pumpkin... We showed up to the party but were both a little overwhelmed after being shut in the house for almost 5 weeks now, so we hung out by ourselves until Daddy was ready to go, maybe next year will be more exciting and maybe we'll actually get candy!!!

First Sponge Bath!!!

Sorry it's taking me so long to post pictures. Olivia is finally get close to having a schedule. She takes a long midday nap (and I've finally decided that I've memorized every part of her so I can put her down for a few hours) so I am free to do other things.

These pics are of her first sponge bath at home, only days after being born. It was a WILD experience.

and more...

more pics....

Welcome Olivia Elaine 9/29/08!!!

She's here and I think we'll keep her! She arrived at 11:25 am on Monday, September 29th weighin 7 lbs 7 oz. Labor was awesome....which I'm happy for because I'd like to do this again at least a couple more times. Recovery was something no one told me about but I'll get there soon. I have lots of pics so I'll post the Birthday ones and then hopefully later post her first bath, first walk and so on and so forth....the good thing about this page is that I can't overwhelm you with Olivia pics...if you're on here then you've chosen to see the many facets of her life. ;)

We love you guys and I can't wait for you all to get to meet her in person!

Itching and Scratching!!!

Well, I'm not going to post a picture of my belly this time because I'd like you all to remember me pregnant from the last pic and not the way I look now. I have a new pregnancy side effect, it's called PUPPP...sounds cute, but it's really ugly! I have a red bumpy itchy rash that started last Friday and has slowly coverd my arms, legs and is now moving to my belly and boobs. I've made poor Michael miserable talking about it and researching it online and scratching and telling him I itch and well just itching constantly. 1 in 240 pregnant women get this and out of those 70% are carrying baby boys or twins...so I'm the FREAK that has defied all odds!!! I've decided to play the lottery and see just how lucky I am. Well, enough about my nasty itchy skin...it will go away as soon as Olivia gets here....we hope!

On a much more exciting note...last Friday we found out that I am dialated to 3cm and if Olivia doesn't come soon they will induce on September 29th....one week earlier than her due date...which was my original due date from the beginning. So be in prayer for her arrival and my body....

Love you all!!!

Definitely Female!

We had another ultrasound this morning and it went great! Turns out she is still a she. Here are the pics we brought back...I think you might have to tilt your head and cross your eyes to see some of them, but I know that the two Grandma's out there won't mind a bit!

There is no doubt that she is getting a little cramped in there. Unlike our earlier ultrasound, where we could see her whole body in one shot, we can now only catch a foot or the face. So far it doesn't look like she's gotten the "Carr Big Head" but things could change, for my sake, let's hope they don't! For those of you who have had babies before, good news is that she is already head down and facing in a good direction...so let's pray she stays that way until D-day! My chirpractor has never had a woman have a c-section, so I don't want to be a stain on his record! And I just plain don't want a c-section. Unless....she turns out to weigh 13 pounds like a baby did today in the hospital when we were there....that's what you call an only child. That poor lady will probably not have any more children. Poor thing!

So, that's all of the exciting news for now. I'll be sure to keep you all updated! Lots of Love!
